FOCUS SCRIPTURE FOR THE WEEK - Romans 8:26
(Amplified Bible - AMP)
26 In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words.

26 Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans.
Food for Thought
Romans 8:26 reminds us that even when we are weak, weary, or unsure how to pray, the Holy Spirit is present to help us. We do not have to carry the pressure of finding perfect words before God. When our hearts are heavy and our words fall short, the Spirit intercedes for us with a language deeper than speech. Be encouraged—God understands the groans, the tears, and the quiet places of your heart, and His Spirit is faithfully praying on your behalf.

Our Feed the Sheep Ministry is every 4th Sunday to share a free meal and show love to our Community. We will be Feeding the Sheep at STLRC on SUNDAY July 26, 2026. Next date SUNDAY AUGUST 23, 2026. Join Us for Food Assistance!
The Food Pantry will be open every 3rd Saturday of the month from 12 pm until 2 pm. Our next food pantry is August 15, 2026 from 12 pm-2 pm. It is open to anyone in the community in need.

Welcome to The Set!
This is a Harp and Bowl Worship Service. Harp and Bowl worship is a practice where Harps (songs of Praise & Worship) and Bowls (prayers) are combined to create a dynamic structure for intercessory prayer (inspired by Revelation 5:8).

23-24 May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together—spirit, soul, and body—and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. The One who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he’ll do it! .
Summary of 1 Thessalonians Chapter 51:
1 Thessalonians 5 teaches that Jesus will return unexpectedly like "a thief in the night". Paul urges believers to stay spiritually awake, protect themselves with faith and love, and live in constant readiness. The chapter outlines practical Christian living, emphasizing prayer, joy, peace, and mutual encouragement.
Main Points in the Chapter:
• The Day of the Lord (vv. 1–11): Paul explains that the exact timing of Christ’s return is unknown, but it will catch unbelievers off guard. Because Christians are "children of the light," they are instructed to stay sober and alert, equipping themselves with faith, love, and the hope of salvation.
• Practical Exhortations (vv. 12-22): Paul provides a list of guidelines for a healthy church community. He encourages believers to:
• Respect their church leaders.
• Be patient and at peace with one another.
• Support the weak and do not repay evil with evil.
• Rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks.
Test all teachings, hold on to what is good, and avoid evil.
• Closing Benediction (vv. 23-28): Paul concludes by praying for their complete sanctification — that God will keep them blameless until Christ's return. He asks for their prayers, and requests that the letter be read to the entire assembly and offers a final blessing of grace.
Weekly Prayer Points
Week 1: Pray that God Himself, the One who makes everything holy and whole, will draw us closer to Him and set us apart for His purpose.
Week 2: Pray that the Lord will make us holy and whole, healing every divided place in us and bringing our hearts into full surrender to Him.
Week 3: Pray that God will put us together—spirit, soul, and body—so that every part of our lives reflects His peace, purity, and power.
Week 4: Pray that we will trust the faithfulness of the One who called us, believing that what He has promised, He is able to complete.
Call to Action
This July, let us respond to God’s faithful call by surrendering every part of our lives —spirit, soul, and body—to His transforming work. Let us stay spiritually awake, pray continually, walk in peace with one another, and trust the God of peace to make us holy and whole. As we move through this month, may our hearts remain open to the Holy Spirit’s power, our actions reflect mature holiness, and our lives bring glory to Jesus Christ.
